Dr. Baumann was honored alongside Congresswoman Mary Bono with the 1st Annual “Unsung Hero Award” on from the “Shelter from the Storm”, a local charity group that helps victims of Domestic Violence.

Belushi & The Chicago Cubs

Dr. Baumann discusses esthetic dentistry and Chicago Cubs baseball with actor Jim Belushi at the American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry in New Orleans.  The annual fundraising event benefits victims of domestic violence.  Both Jim and Dr. Baumann are very active in raising awareness of this problem.  Dr. Baumann works locally with Shelter from the Storm, donating dental treatment for some of the residents of the Shelter.

Palm Springs Best Dentists

Dr. Baumann was recently voted one of the area’s “Best Dentists” for the second year in a row by Palm Springs Life Magazine.  An independent company polls both professionals as well as patients in evaluating candidates for this honor.

Pacific Laser Institute

Dr. Baumann and the hygiene staff recently completed advanced laser training at the Pacific Laser Institute, in San Jose, CA under the guidance of Dr. Robert Barr. The staff received two days of training utilizing the soft tissue diode laser. New studies were presented that modified our protocol to insure state of the art periodontal care.

Neuromuscular Technology TMJ
Dr. Baumann and the restorative staff recently completed training at the Las Vegas Institute for the Advanced Dental Studies, utilizing the latest K-7 myotronics technology, Dr. Baumann can now provide.
1. Joint sonography (analysis of TM joint sounds)
2. Electromyograpy (EMG) measurement of muscle activity and tension in the muscle.
3. Jaw Tracking – use of sophisticated medical instruments to measure jaw dysfunction. You can track and record fine jaw movements with a high degree of accuracy.
This training allows us to provide more comprehensive analysis of occlusion.
Invisalign
Dr. Baumann has completed training on how to provide Invisalign Orthodontics to our patients. Invisalign technology allows the movement of teeth with out the use of conventional braces. Computer technology creates nearly invisible tooth positioners that are changed every two weeks. This allows for better oral hygiene and comfort while still getting a beautiful smile.

In January 2005, Dr. Baumann completed the LVI Neuromuscular Coronplasty course at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in Nevada.
Dr. Baumann recently completed post graduate training at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in Nevada.
Studying under Dr. Clayton Chan, Dr. Baumann continued his training in mastering neuromuscular concepts and instrumentation. This training allows Dr. Baumann to provide better more stable bites furthering the health of the teeth, muscles and TMJ.
Dr. Baumann is among only a handful of California dentists to have completed this training.
